On Sunday 5 September 2022 we conducted a blower door test of the Energy Efficient Demonstration Home. We also held two workshops to show the public how the blower door test process works.
The home has an air change of 5.75ach/hr at 50pa. This is ideal, given CSIRO research has shown that most new houses are on average around 15-20ach/hr and we were aiming for between 5-7ach/hr, as anything less than 5ach/hr should use mechanical systems to manage air in and out of the home.
